  • FEMhub-distribution uses the Debian packaging system. To make your code part of it, create a Debian package of your code and send it to us.

Introduction

FEMhub is an open source distribution of finite element codes with a unified Python interface. The current stable version is FEMhub 0.9.9.

What's New?

Notable new changes include:
  • Documentation: added sphinx documentation
  • README: simplified README; placed a link to Sphinx documentation
  • LibFEMhub: added this collection of FEMhub python modules including python wrappers to mesh editors and FE libraries.
  • Download of packages: FEMhub standard packages to be downloaded from femhub.org/stpack
  • Platforms: the version builds in Mac OS X
  • Sage to FEMhub: changed far more "Sage" to "FEMhub", and added script for that
  • FEMhub Lab:
    • Update: sagenb updated to 298:6d1e1afd37f0 on 2010-03-25, and the latest version is femhub-lab-2ffaa67.spkg
    • Name changed: name of femhub_notebook changed to femhub-lab
    • Executing FEMhub: changed notebook() command to lab()
    • Improved account settings, for example, option for auto save interval
    • Mesh generation in web browser: implementation of JavaScript based Domain Editor and Flex based MeshEditor.

Known Issues to be Fixed

  • FEMhub does not build with Windows
  • Sometimes, especially with Google Chrome and Safari browsers when you try to save any worksheet locally in your computer it gives error.
  • Timeout issue of the femhub-lab
  • Mayavi in femhub-lab is slow and has issue with colorbar position
  • Sometimes when you need to plot many solution or mesh images (about 20 or more) in the femhub-lab, suddenly all images disappear.
